SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

"When you seek me with all your heart, you will find me with you..." Jeremiah 29:12-14

Social Events When we pray and worship together, when we help one another in need, when we share in the burdens to educate our youth and when we labor to make this a better life, we establish real and genuine friendships based upon a common love of Jesus Christ.
So perhaps, just getting involoved in service, spiritual or recreational activities is the best way to meet meaningful people. It's been said that if you follow God's path and you notice someone walking the same direction, you have a friend rooted in the Lord.

Monthly Dinner Club We have a monthly dinner club that meets in private homes to share fellowship and breaking bread and good times together.

La Posadas Each evening in the weeks before Christmas, a different home opens to welcome us with Christmas delights as we reenact the timeless journey of Mary & Joseph in Bethlehem. Maps and directions are published during December.

Prince of Peace Catholic Community and the Church of the Risen Savior have jointly sponsored men's and coed softball teams for 4 years. They participate in the City Church Association Leagues which promote sportsmanship, fitness, and even a few romances. Last year, we had 7 teams and 110 participants. The program emphasizes fun, fundamentals, community building, and fun in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Many an enjoyable evening is spent just cheering for your team and or participating in a fun league. Minimum age is 16 and you don't have to be a member of one of the sponsoring churches.

Call Ron Vonderhaar, Program Coordinator at 924-3984 or email him at Contact Us rvonderhaar@cabq.gov for information.
