Relief to Philippines
Deacon Leandro and Tessie Centenera along with parishioners, David and Yolanda Ploor, visited the Philippines as part of the Prince of Peace outreach to those who suffered the devastation of Typhoon Haian last November.
Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners and the Centenera's collection efforts, approximately $25,000 was raised for the relief of the suffering there. PoP parishioners also donated $9,059 to the USCCB sponsored Typhoon Relief collection.
Deacon Leandro's effort is focused on providing boats so that the fishermen can return to the sea and resume fishing. These boats are already under construction.
