Women's Bible Study-Wednesdays Beginning September 8th

Women of the parish, please join us as we study The Acts of the Apostles with Jeff Cavins. In Acts, The Spread of the Kingdom, you will witness how the apostles, through the power of the Holy Spirit, continued the saving mission of Christ on earth. You will see how the Kingdom of God is truly among us in the Holy Church established by Christ, and you will come to a greater appreciation for the entire Catholic faith. The study will begin Sept 8, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Prince of Peace and continuing every Wednesday. For more information, or to register for the study, call Mary Benze at 856-6050 or email mbenze1@comcast.net.

PoP Hosts Tony Melendez Concert

POP Community and the Pilgrims traveling to World Youth Day 2011 want to thank everyone who helped make the Tony Melendez concert a tremendous success. Over 650 people attended and experienced this tremendous spiritual event. A big thanks to Holy Family, Faith Works and Garsons and Sons Religious Supply who offered pre-sale tickets. All who attended were inspired by Tony and his band and their personal faith journeys. The music was fantastic! Again, thank you for your financial support of the POP pilgrims going to WYD 2011 in Spain where we have been invited to meet up with Tony and his band.

Ephphatha Group Gathering

A faith community called "Ephphatha" has been formed at PoP. The name is derived from Mark 7:31 in which Jesus said to a deaf man, "Ephaphatha', that is "Be opened!" The group opens with a potluck on two Fridays a month. This is followed by Praise and Worship, Proclamation of the Word and Bible Sharing/Personal Reflection. if you are interested contact Deacon Leandro Centenera Link for information.
